Our Work
Some residents may be eligible for financial assistance with the cost of their care. Whilst we cannot give advice on assessing or applying for assistance, you may find the following information useful.
As a guide, residents with capital in excess of £23,250 are expected to meet the full cost of their care. However, you still have the right to an assessment of your needs by the local authority.
If your "primary need" for entering a care home is health-based, you may be entitled to NHS funding to cover the cost of your care under the NHS Continuing Healthcare scheme.
Some financial help may also come from social security benefits, but eligibility for Pension Credit depends solely on how much income or capital you have and does not take account of your care needs.
